What to expect, start to finish
1. Review your test result
Send us the number from your test kit, home inspection or continuous monitor. Anything at or above 4.0 pCi/L should be mitigated; the EPA suggests considering it between 2.0 and 4.0. If you haven't tested, we can run a 48-hour continuous monitor test first.
2. On-site diagnostic visit
We inspect the foundation, sump, crawl space, slab cracks and floor-wall joint, then drill a small test hole and measure sub-slab pressure and airflow. This tells us where the suction point goes and how big the fan needs to be. You get a written quote on the spot.
3. One-day installation
We core the slab, excavate a suction pit, run sealed PVC through the basement or garage to an exterior or attic-mounted fan, seal every entry route we can reach, and terminate the exhaust above the roofline. Most York County homes are finished in four to six hours.
4. Post-mitigation test and guarantee
After the system runs for at least 24 hours we place a follow-up test. When the result is below 4.0 pCi/L you get the report, the system label and manometer reading, and our written guarantee. Retest every two years or after any major renovation.
